Right, I’m going to take the plunge and make our first post! At Liverpool Supper Club we’re all passionate about food, so expect to see posts by myself (Tom), Jo and Lucy.
A few days ago myself and Jo had a lovely surprise from our neighbours downstairs. The boys gave me ring and asked if we’d be interested in a bag of fresh queenie scallops. HELL YEAH!
So in exchange for a lovely coffee and chocolate cake made by Jo, we had a mound of them in the fridge ready for shelling and cleaning.
We cooked a few off immediately (which in hindsight was silly seeing as we were eating out at Delifonsecas field to folk evening that night!) and paired them up canapĂ© stylee with some lovely Somerset chorizo (another gift from a friend of Jo’s mum).
I’ve kept the coral because a certain head chef acquaintance of mine recommended drying them out and using the subsequent powder as a seasoning agent in fish related dishes.
Made up! Thanks again boys!
